A world record in rhythm dance. Another one in free skate. And a last one at the overall ranking. Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron achieved a faultless performance to win a 5th world title (after 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019) on Saturday, in front of nearly 8,000 people, at the Sud de France Arena.

A perfect conclusion to a day that began with the first coronation of the Japanese Shoma Uno. On Saturday, another Japanese, Kaori Sakamoto, won a world gold medal for the first time. And on Thursday, in pairs category, Americans Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier also adorned themselves with world gold for the very first time.

A popular success. These World Figure Skating Championships exceeded the expectations of the Organizing Committee on many levels, and particularly in terms of attendance : the rhythm dance, the ice dance free program and the exhibition gala were sold out !
